COLOR-FF Pointing Powder
Pointing powder is a product used for pointing the watertight of all types of tiles, ceramics, stone, and mosaics, as well as pointing the floor and wall of bathrooms, kitchens, and balconies.
Product Code : STAR SEALANT COLOR-FF
The pointing powder has a structure of advanced and waterproof polymers that gives it a lot of adhesive properties. This powder sticks well to tile fissures and has extremely low water absorption. It also has a high adhesion to all kinds of materials and gives a smooth and even surface.
Pointing powder is used for tile fissures with 2 to 10 mm width. After hardening, this material creates a uniform surface and makes the seams (fissures) waterproof and impenetrable. The tile pointing powder managed to fulfill the standardized requirements and has a high resistance to compressive and bending stresses in standard conditions or the melting and freezing cycle.
At the same time, it has good resistance against environmental factors and is dyeable and available in different colors: the following can be mentioned among other advantages of the product: high abrasion resistance, elimination of leakage and dampness of seams, non-shrinking and cracking, as well as very little water absorption.
In order to apply the pointing powder, the surface under the product must be clean, solid, and free of any grease, dust, paint, oil and loose particles. About 1.5 liters of water should be added to each 5-kg bag. Mixing the powder with water should be conducted using an electric mixer (drill+blade). The bucket or container in which the powder and water are mixed must be suitable for the work pace and mixing volume.
Always add the pointing powder to the water slowly and note that the electric mixer should be turned on when adding the powder to the water and the mixing process will continue until a uniform and homogeneous dough is obtained. Leave the prepared dough alone for 1 minute. Repeat the mixing process again for a short period of time, and then use a rubber pallet knife to do the pointing operation.
Note: It is recommended to keep the applied surface moist for 24 hours after finishing the pointing.
