Emulsion insulation

Water-based bituminous primer emulsion insulation

Emulsion insulation is a solvent-free paste consisting of bitumens emulsified with water, special fine-grained aggregates, and additives, which is produced according to a specific formula.

Product code: STAR MULP11

Starmul-p1 emulsion insulation is a thick emulsion liquid that can be used purely or diluted with water. After consuming this substance, its water evaporates and creates a resistant and flexible layer that does not dissolve in water. Emulsion insulation is a typical moisture insulation that does not need to be heated and is used at normal temperature. This protective coating is applied on concrete sections before burial to prevent the penetration of harmful chemical ions and solutes in the soil.

  • It leaves an elastic and flexible layer on sections after drying
  • Ease and rate
  • High adhesion to concrete and metal surfaces
  • Resistant to salts and chloride and sulfate ions
  • It has the capability to be dissolved in water before drying, and it will never dissolve in water after drying
  • No sagging after implementation
  • Capability to be dissolved in water before drying and lack of dissolution in water after drying
  • Capability to execution at temperatures of +5 to +70 degrees Centigrade

Applications

• Waterproof walls and foundations
• Waterproofing flat or curved surfaces in underground structures, such as constructed underpasses and tunnels
• Waterproofing of horizontal concrete structures under the plates
Amount and method of consumption

The amount of consumption of emulsion insulation at a suitable level is approximately 0.5 kg per square meter of diluted product. Dilute Starmul-p1 with about 45-50% water after substrate preparation and mix until combined. Then, place it on the product surface with a roller brush or spray and apply the second layer with the ratio on the product by a brush or spray after the first layer dries. Mix the second layer with a ratio of 10% and apply on the product by a brush or spray after the first layer dries. At least two layers of the product must be used with a dry thickness of at least 3 mm.
