Concrete curing

Concrete curing

Concrete curing: Curing liquid is used in areas that are under severe sunlight or are exposed to strong wind and it is not possible to spray water on the concrete and keep it moist.

Product code: STAR CURE S500

کیورینگ بتن

This protective liquid is a type of membrane curing substance that forms a thin, non-greasy film on concrete and coats the concrete surface, thus preventing the evaporation and reduction of concrete mixing water in hot weather. At the same time, curing completes the hydration and hardening process of concrete and reduces the shrinkage cracks of concrete.

Among the other effects of this product on the concrete curing process, we can mention: reducing the surface permeability of concrete, preventing surface peeling of concrete and not changing the color of concrete surfaces.

  • Formation of non-fatty film on the concrete surface
  • Prevention of premature evaporation of concrete water
  • No need for continuous water-sprinkling and keeping the concrete moist
  • Locking the concrete mixing water for the hydration reaction progress
  • Preventing the shrinkage and cracks caused by rapid evaporation of concrete water
  • Reduction of surface permeability of concrete
  • Prevention of surface peeling of concrete
  • Without changing the color of concrete surfaces

The effects of this product can be evaluated after using it in concrete based on the following standards:

ACI 308R, 01ASTM C125, ASTM C309

  • Concreting in areas exposed to strong sunlight.
  • Concreting in windy areas and exposed to wind flow.
  • Implementation of concrete in areas where the possibility of spraying water and keeping the concrete moist is limited.
  • Concreting in widespread, wide, and far away (remote) sections for watering.

The exact amount of consumption is determined through workshop tests and the effective amount of the material. This amount can be in the range of 0.15 to 0.2 kg for the surface coverage of each square meter of concrete.

The best implementation method is to spray the curing liquid on the concrete surface.

Each kilogram of curing material can be mixed with about 300 to 500 cc of water and used in areas where the air temperature is low and the intensity of the wind blow is negligible.

The application of concrete curing liquid should be made as soon as the concreting is finished or concurrent with the molds opening. In case of delay, it is necessary to spray and saturate the concrete surface first, and then apply the curing liquid.
